School Emerge Winners in Karate Championship

Guru Nanak Model Sr. Sec. School,Doraha  has always been well known for its remarkable academic and non-academic achievements.The School students participated in 8th Punjab State  karate championship 2019  which was held at G.S Resort Alamgir road,Ludhiana on September 1st ,2019.School students astounded everyone through their commendable performance thereby securing 1st  position in state level competition.This event witnessed a total 500 students from various schools who came to display their agility and strength.The school stamped its supremacy by emerging winners and by bagging 9 gold,14 silver and 21 bronze medals in this championship.School principal DP Thakur Congratulated them and said ,”This is the result of collective efforts of the team of the school and its coach.It is a matter of  great pride to see our young students standing proudly wearing medals.A healthy mind lives in a healthy body,so  sports should be emphasized for the over all personality development of a child in this world of science.

School executive administrator Mrs.Roopinder kaur Brar appreciated their magnificent performance and spoke.”I am immensely pleased that the school students played at the state level.It will help them choose befitting career for themselves according to their abilities through such competitions .The children should make  sports a hobby as sports provide agility and promote decision making among children.

Senior Vice President  S.Jogeshwar Singh Mangat,Vice president S.Harpratap Singh Brar, Executive administrator Mrs.Roopinder kaur,Manager Sh.Adarshpal Bector,Rajinder Singh Khalsa, S.Pavittarpal Singh Pangali and Ravinder Singh Malhans were also happy at the wonderful performance of the children.
