Late. Dr. Ishwar Singh along with a galaxy of prominent social and political personalities of the area started and nursed the school and college. Now the families of the founders of the board led by Mr. Harpratap Singh Brar are furthering the cause of education in this area. What started as small institution has now grown into a school with a strength of 2020 students and 180 staff members on its rolls. The school was affiliated to CBSE , New Delhi from academic session 2011-12. The school today boasts of formidable Medical, Non Medical and Commerce streams.

Knowledge is Power. To channelize this power for the best resources and fruitful results late Dr. Ishwar Singh, Founder President and other member of Guru Nanak National College Management Board Doraha, founded this school in 1983 to spread fragrance of knowledge to mankind.
Dr. Ishwar Singh, founder President of the management committee, while lying on the sick bed in P.G.I. Chandigarh, instructed the school authorities to take immediate steps to get affiliation for 10+2 in Humanities and Commerce Groups. Fulfilling his last wish two more groups were got affiliated & admissions were started from July 2003.
